Join the Intergen Book Club!What is Intergen?
A multi-age book club that brings together 5-8th graders, parents, and senior members of the community to discuss 5 books throughout the school year. This Year's Schedule The program will kick-off on October 10th. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from October through March during lunch/recess. Grades 5-6 meet 11:40-12:15 Grades 7-8 meet 12:15-12:50 The kickoff meeting is on October 10th. Students and community volunteers will get their first books and meet each other. The first book group discussion is in November, and continues monthly through March. Oct 10, Nov 14, Dec 12, Jan 9, Feb 13, Mar 12 5/6 and 7/8 will be reading different books. Many of the books will be Golden Dome books. Titles will include a variety of genres and styles including prose and graphic novels. Book Discussion Meetings Take place at the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library (DAML). Each group has 5-8 people: 5 students, 1 parent, and 1-2 senior adults. |
