Five signed copies of Right as Rain, a Vermont 2020 Book Festival Great Read and Kirkus Best Book of 2019, were up for grabs to any Vermont student who watched the author interview video & completed a form. Congratulations to Cordelia and Dominic, who each won a signed copy!!

We visited Voyager's 5th & 6th graders, making it easier for students to get a print book in their hands. Sometimes--especially now--it's good to get away from a screen and focus on a book between your hands.

We've set up bi-weekly visits with all our 5-8 groups. This is just one more option for students, who can already request books online for delivery through our library catalog. Keep on reading, friends!

Our first project in Library Essential Arts class was to create a read aloud for Williston K-4 students. Middle school students chose a favorite book--from home or from the school library--and created a read aloud. They photographed & cropped pictures from the books, placed them in a slide show, and recoded voice narration using Screencastify, all with their Chromebooks!

When their read-aloud was uploaded to our closed district site, they invited a K-4 teacher of their choice to listen to their read aloud.

Nicely done, middle schoolers!
